I have no explanation.

It's an oil painting for a university painting class. The canvas is fairly large.

Alas, no. The chickens belong relatives on the other side of the country and I combined photos to paint this.

But every kitchen should have resident chickens, don't you think?

i know it's a crying shame, i shall take the seat of power on the newly united world stage and demand that every house gives residence to at least five chickens. the world would indeed be a happier place.

I love your hens, they look so real :omg: Great job:clap: As for the title, how about...when the cat's away, the mice dance :giggle: It's rather long for a title, but the scene reminds me ogf that :D

what can I say... just love the quirkiness of it, plus it is well painted, I like the looser style. I think the title is great as is! Does what it says on the tin lol.
